This beautifully restored 18th-century residential mansion in Old Riga is home to a boutique hotel as well as an elegant restaurant specialising in seafood. Order anything from scallops, ceviche and steamed mussels to start and then move on to tuna steaks, salmon fillets and even sautéed octopus. Landlubbers will be happy to know that meat courses such as duck breast and lamb burgers are also on offer and all of this can be enjoyed in a modern interior consisting of dark mauve walls offset by brightly upholstered chairs and lots of natural light from large windows on two sides. The service is also impeccable.
